About Henry Labs
We’re building the operating system for agentic commerce: the layer that turns a user’s intent to buy into a completed order on any merchant site. We enable a true universal cart and one-click checkout anywhere on the Internet — so users can add items from multiple merchants in one place and buy seamlessly, without bouncing through different tabs, logins, and carts. Platforms like Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and AI chatbots/shopping experiences already handle product discovery. What’s missing is reliably executing checkout across thousands of ecommerce sites without direct integrations. That’s where Henry comes in. Our agent executes checkout on behalf of users via browser automation, then returns order confirmation back to the app. Imagine being able to buy an entire outfit you see on Pinterest in one click — sizes, colors, shipping, and payment handled instantly — without bouncing through 6 different sites and carts. That’s just one example of what we enable. Companies use Henry to embed shopping natively so that users can buy what they want, the moment they discover it.About the role
As Product Designer at Henry Labs, you’ll own the end-to-end design of our checkout modal and the core product surfaces that turn “I want this” into a completed order — right where users discover products. You’ll partner closely with the founders and front-end engineers to go from PRD → research → concepts → production-ready designs that ship fast and perform in the real world. And because our universal cart spans multiple merchants, you’ll be defining a scalable design system that can reliably power checkout across thousands of sites and numerous edge cases. What you’ll do
- Design the Henry Labs checkout modal, drawing inspiration from products like Shop Pay and Stripe Link while pushing toward a more modern and elegant experience
- Own design end-to-end: research, ideation, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, interaction states, and edge cases
- Conduct lightweight design research (competitive analysis, user journey mapping, trust cues, UX heuristics)
- Partner closely with front-end engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible and production-ready
What we’re looking for
- Strong product intuition and deep understanding of user experience, especially in high-trust flows (checkout, payments, authentication, onboarding)
- Ability to move quickly and work independently from a PRD, sourcing your own inspiration and forming clear design opinions
- High bar for visual design, typography, spacing
- Technically fluent — comfortable discussing implementation details with front-end engineers and understanding constraints
- Experience designing production software (B2B, fintech, consumer, or infra-adjacent products is a plus)
- Clear communicator who can explain design decisions and tradeoffs
